Stories can showcase quick clips of different ways to style or wear a product, making them ideal for fashion and accessories. Shoppers can see the item on various body types, explore outfit combinations, and understand fit and movement, all without leaving the product page.
Real Customer Reviews
Stories are a great way to feature authentic customer review clips in a swipeable, easy-to-consume format. Shoppers can watch real people share their experiences, show the product in everyday use, and offer honest feedback. These bite-sized testimonials provide relatable social proof right where customers are deciding, helping build trust quickly.
Setup
1. On the Whatmore dashboard, find “Product Page” under Video Widgets.
2. Among the various Trending Widgets available, choose Video Stories.
3. Click on “Add Stories”, post which you will be redirected to the Shopify Theme Editor. Click on “Save” to save all changes.
Note: The section will be added as a carousel of videos, the layout of which has to be changed to obtain Instagram-like video stories. The steps for this are mentioned below.
4. Tag products to the videos on your Whatmore dashboard, if not already done.
Pro Tip: Only videos tagged to a specific product will appear on that product’s page.
Customisations in the Shopify Editor (Mandatory)
1. In the Shopify Theme Editor, hover over the carousel and click “Whatmore Carousel” to customise it.
2. In the menu, you’ll see several options that let you control the heading, layout, spacing, and video tile sizes across desktop and mobile. Click on “Tile Type” and choose Video-Card Story Like Format
Finishing
Ensure you Save the changes on your Shopify Theme Editor. Your Stories are now ready to be viewed on your product page!
