Floating video widgets are small, single video cards that appear while a shopper is viewing a product page. When the shopper taps the floating card, the full set of videos tagged to that product expands, letting them browse through each one without leaving the page. It’s an unobtrusive way to surface product demos, reviews, and try-ons right where the shopper needs them, helping them explore the product more confidently.

Surface short clips that spotlight what makes the product special; premium materials, key ingredients, craftsmanship, or unique components. The floating widget lets shoppers instantly learn what sets the product apart without leaving the page.
Real Customer Reviews
Showcase authentic customer video reviews right within the product experience. Shoppers can tap to browse through multiple real-world perspectives, building trust and reducing hesitation at the point of purchase.
Create a new Floating Widget
Step 1: Setup
On the Whatmore dashboard, find “Product Page” under Video Widgets.
Among the various Trending Widgets available, choose Floating Videos.
Click on “Enable App Embed”, post which you will be redirected to the Shopify Theme Editor. Click on “Save” to save all changes.
Tag products to the videos on your Whatmore dashboard, if not already done.
Toggle between popup customization, which is explained in detail below.
Your floating video widgets are now ready to be viewed on your product pages!
💡 Pro Tip: Only videos tagged to a specific product will appear on that product’s page, unless changed using Customizations (mentioned below).
Step 2: Customisations on Whatmore Dashboard (Optional)
On the Whatmore dashboard, find “Customizations” under Video Settings. Then choose Product Page Configuration.
Hover over the "i" icon to get a brief overview of each feature, then toggle. Here's what each feature does:
Ultra Minimize on Scroll: Shrinks the popup into a smaller, unobtrusive view as the shopper scrolls the page.
Show Product Page Popup: Use this to control whether the floating card appears on product pages or stays hidden.
Show recommended videos: Shows videos from other tagged products to broaden the content available to shoppers.
Show homepage videos in product page: Displays your homepage videos on the product page to give shoppers even more content to explore.
To save your changes, click on "Save"; choose "Discard" to undo them.
