Carousels shape how your products are explored. The right sequence can highlight variety, show different angles, and guide shoppers through multiple items in one compact space. This guide shows how to access and use the Carousel builder, choose or upload videos, and create engaging displays that help increase interaction and conversions.

Use Cases

Introducing a new seasonal collection

Imagine your homepage featuring a fresh spring or holiday collection. A carousel lets you spotlight multiple hero products from that drop in one clean, scrollable row. Shoppers can quickly browse the highlights without leaving the homepage, giving them an instant sense of what’s new and exciting.

Featuring customer review videos

Customer review videos build instant trust and give shoppers a real sense of how your products look, feel, and perform. A carousel lets you showcase multiple reviews side by side, each one highlighting a different customer, product, or experience. This creates a dynamic, credibility-boosting section on your homepage that visitors can browse quickly, helping them feel more confident and ready to buy.

Setup

1. On the Whatmore dashboard, find “Homepage” under Video Widgets.

2. Among the various Trending Widgets available, choose Carousels.

3. Activate, then “Enable Carousel” on the Shopify Theme Editor. Confirm when added, then proceed.

Do this by saving all the changes on the Shopify Theme Editor

4. Select/deselect videos from the Whatmore Dashboard to add or remove from the homepage. Further, add media to the video gallery straight from your Instagram/TikTok, or upload.

5. You can then arrange the videos in the carousel by simply dragging and dropping them, or sorting them according to views, age, shuffle.

- Heading Font Size, Landscape (Desktop): Adjust how large the heading appears when your store is viewed on a desktop or laptop. Use the slider or input box to set the pixel size.

- Heading Font Size, Portrait (Mobile): Set the heading size specifically for mobile visitors.

- Horizontal Padding (Desktop/Laptop): Control the left and right spacing around the carousel on desktop.

- Vertical Padding: Adjust the spacing above and below the carousel across all devices.

- Scroll-Video-Tile Size: Set the width of each video tile as a percentage of the carousel width when viewed on desktop. Increasing the percentage makes tiles larger; decreasing it makes them more compact.

- Scroll-Video-Tile Size Mobile: Set the tile size for mobile separately to ensure the carousel feels natural and easy to scroll on phones.

- Minimum Height: Define the minimum height of the carousel section. Useful for maintaining consistency across different page layouts.
