Why use it
Email is one of the highest-intent moments in your funnel. Replacing a static product photo with an autoplaying video of the actual product the recipient cared about consistently lifts engagement and conversion. Whatmore brings your existing video library into that surface with zero theme work.
Get there
In your Whatmore dashboard, go to Channels → Email Campaigns.
The landing page shows every email channel you've connected, plus a unified products table below.
Connect Klaviyo
1.Click the Klaviyo card on the Email Campaigns page. This opens the dedicated Klaviyo setup.
2. Click Connect and paste your Klaviyo API Private Key. The key needs Catalogs scope — Klaviyo provides this by default.
3. We validate the key instantly. Once connected, every Whatmore-tagged video appears in your Klaviyo catalog within seconds.
Add the video to your email template
Once connected, paste a Whatmore snippet anywhere in your Klaviyo email.
1. On the Klaviyo page, click Get snippet.
2. Choose a flavor:
Top video — the highest-ranked Whatmore video for the recipient's product.
All videos — every tagged video as a horizontal strip.
Specific number — exactly N videos.
3. Copy the snippet.
4. In Klaviyo's email editor, drop in an HTML block and paste the snippet.
5. Preview & test in Klaviyo to confirm the right video resolves for your test recipient.
The same snippet works across browse abandonment, cart abandonment, and post-purchase flows.
Manage products across email channels
The Products table below the channel cards shows every product in your store with one column per connected email channel.
1. For any product, flip a channel's switch off to stop sending that product's video to that channel. Flip it back on to resume.
2. Status badges (Live, Syncing, Failed) show the current state per channel.
3. Select multiple products and use the Hide on [channel] / Unhide on [channel] bulk buttons.
Disconnect
To remove all Whatmore videos from your Klaviyo catalog:
1. Open the Klaviyo channel page.
2. Click Disconnect.
3. Confirm — the dialog shows how many catalog items will be cleaned up.
Future emails will no longer include Whatmore videos for this brand.
Tips
Only paid Klaviyo plans expose the Catalogs feature we sync into. Free plans can connect but the catalog won't populate.
The same snippet handles browse abandonment, cart abandonment, post-purchase, AND any custom flow that references `event.ProductID`.
If you tag a new video on a product, your next email send picks it up automatically. No manual refresh required.
Outlook for Windows shows only the first frame of animated GIFs — not a Whatmore limitation, but worth knowing if your audience uses it heavily.
FAQ
Does this work for newsletters too? Yes, anywhere `event.ProductID` is available — including campaigns where you target by product viewed.
What if a product has no tagged video? The snippet renders nothing for that product. No broken image icons.
Will the video re-resolve at send time? Yes — every send pulls the latest Whatmore-tagged video for the product at that moment.
